Ver cherán Cuevana 3. In 2011, the people of Cherán, Michoacán, rose up to reclaim their forest and community, fighting illegal loggers, cartels, and systemic oppression. Guided by P’urhépecha traditions, their autonomy weaves resistance into daily life and the natural landscape.
